Task
The clinic wanted booking without phone calls: a patient sees free time and books a visit, while doctors and administrators run the day in one system. The project is under NDA, so the clinic is not named and the screenshot shows demo data.
Solution
Built a web application on ASP.NET Core and SQL Server. The public site shows free time and takes bookings, patients, doctors, managers and administrators have their own cabinets, and each sees only their own data. The database itself enforces the booking rules, so two patients cannot take the same time even when they press the button at the same moment.
What was done
- Built online booking in three steps: service, doctor, free time
- Ruled out double booking: one time slot goes to one patient only
- Built a patient cabinet with visit history, cancelling and a review
- Built a doctor cabinet with the current visit, the day schedule and recommendations
- Gave administrators the schedule, staff profiles and review moderation
- Set up confirmation emails with a calendar file
- Translated the interface into Russian, English, French and German
- Covered the system with tests and packed it into Docker
Result
Patients book visits themselves at any time, without calling the front desk. Doctors see their day and the current visit, administrators run the schedule and reviews in the same system.
